A bibliophile’s and discophile’s Mecca for 40+ years

Cheap Thrills has sold used vinyl records (and, later, CDs), and used books for well over 40 years. It used to be located on Bishop Street, but moved to 2044 Metcalfe many years ago. It has a huge selection of hard-to-find vinyl records, and a good collection of used books (as well as thousands of used CDs, and a few new ones). Everything is meticulously kept in alphabetical order, within the many categories, and the staff seem to know where every title is, and can find it for you within seconds. Do not be put off by the steep, dingy stairs; you are about to discover a treasure store of bargains; some as cheap as 99 cents!
